twcsg 6th Anniversary at Bottle Tree Park 28 Jun 09

It's my fifth time attending this Anniversary. I still remember the first time I attended the event, I got the first prize in the lucky draw. ;p Haven't missed one after that, looking back, we had really grow from those days of 20 odds cars to what we have today... Simply too many wishes to count!
This year it's back to Bottle Tree Park, we were there for the same purpose two years back. I took a ride from Terence and reached there about 4pm. Only the organisers were there and I am nominated to take attendance again. Haha... it seem that I just can't go away with this role. I had been doing it for the fourth time. Remember this is my fifth time attending this event? Last year anniversary was cancelled as it was overlooked so only ended up as another gathering.

And so I started my task to take attendance and so call register those that came and issue them their lucky number.
Just before the event start, I went over to the car park and took a few shots, look at the attendance!
We had our dinner and lucky draw, chit chat and ends the day early after drawing the last few prizes... I only won a LED key chain :(

More pictures can be found in my facebook. ;p

FOREX end-of-week update 22-26 Jun 09

What a week, making loses... Something I found out is that every time I increase my lot size I will make a lost, but when I put it down I gain, I wonder why? It has nothing to do with my trading method but definitely have something to do with my mental state. Apart from that I think I really have to discipline myself to stop trading at work haha... There were a few trades that I missed out the exit and went on to make a lose, big or small.

Not going to top up my account but will continue trading with small lot size and grow back my account. It's going to be slow and will not be able to hit my dream target every week. Whatever the result is, trading is really not about how much you gain but of getting the necessary experience first!

Short trip up North for Durians

Monday - Took off from work and when to Malaysia for Durians with Carol, Jamie, Steven and Chris. Woke up early in the morning and when to my pickup point at Compass Point. Then we proceed to Marsiling to meet up with the rest of Chris's friends. In fact they were leading the convoy of 4 cars...

After crossing the CIQ, we proceeded on to our destination, Pontian "something", cannot remember the smaller town name haha... Anyway we took about a hour or two drive to get there. Before reaching the durians' place we stop at an Indian Coffeeshop and had Roti Canai for breakfast. Next is the durians durians nothing else but durians... Oh have lah still got Rambutan...

Durian tree
Banana tree

Rambutan tree
Dunno what tree, anyone?
Under that little make shift shelter was where we had our durian buffet, eat all you can until you drop and there's still more... Seriously and simply endless supplies of durians, durians and durians... side dish? Rambutans are there ready for you...
You just keep eating and they just keep opening... and guess what! it's only RM20 each!
See those durians surrounding us as we eat and eat... And when you can't eat anymore, what do you do? You pose with the durians and start taking pictures... ;p
Had enough of durians and rambutans? Haven't had enough but too full to take anymore? Dun worry, you can bring the durians home at RM8 per kg for the XO Durians (Best grade).
On the way back to town we stop by a roadside stall for cendol...
While the rest head back to Singapore, This group of criminals, Steven, Carol, Chris, myself and Jamie continues to City Square Plaza and had some shopping before heading to Taman Sentosa for Massage, body well-beings and Dinner. We were all so into what we were doing that we failed to whip out the camera and had pictures taken... ;p By the time we reached the CIQ in Singapore it was already nine plus ten...

A great day off from work with so much fun...

FOREX end-of-week update (15-19 Jun 09)

Started the week extremely well, gaining 97 pips over a day, but was not able to hold them the second day and had to commence my recovery process. Took the entire week to recover my loses, almost make it by Thursday night, but my last trade of the day pulled me back and I had to work hard on Friday to recover again. Overall result, yet another negative week. :(

FOREX end-of-week update (8-12 Jun 09)

This week had been a struggling week for me. Made a few mistake early in the week and wasn't discipline enough to trade constantly, resulting in having to chase and grab pips to try breakeven my trade result for the week. The few losses had taught me well, and this week result had also showed me that I am more or less adequately equipped to trade profitably. Though the week ended negative, but I am rather pleased with the result as I had managed to reduce my losses significantly from 3 digits to 2 digits.
I will have to rethink through my trading plan this weekend to come out with a timetable of when to trade. I dun think I will have any problem as I had been doing fine, just that lately, my world collasped again and had loss some focus due to that. I just have to wake up from my dream and have some realisation before moving on again... ;p
Dreams, something we need to have to have a fulfilling and challenging life. I continue to have my dreams but the method and way to realise them will have to change now. Re-focusing of life in progress...

FOREX end-of-week summary (1-5 Jun 09)

Negative trading week! Soon after I made a withdrawal, all trades that I take seemed to be aimed and resulted in losses haha... ;p I think I wasn't to well aware of what is happening to the market this week. The 2 currency pairs that I had been trading seem to had changed direction and I was not able to ride with them on time and catch the tide. Living the life as a full-time trader also help to contribute to my losses. Below is an account of my life as a full-time trader.

First day, took a total of 9 trades, dun have good result. Second day, took a total of 15 trades, better than first day but still not too good. Third day, took only 11 trades, no good result too. A total of 35 trades, but these 35 trades were worst than my normal day trading. Probably because these few days price movement weren't as constant, but my feel is that I dun have the cutting to be a full-time trader, or maybe not yet.To summarise my 3 days as a full-time trader, I find that it need more than what I have now to be a full-time trader. And life as a full-time trader is extremely dull and boring. I think I haven't earn money, I would have go commit suicide already haha... Kudos to all full-time traders out there, I salute you!I think part-time trader suit me better, at least can afford to have the mindset of got time watch and trade, no time call it a rest day. The next time I have off day, I won't be living the life as a full-time trader anymore, instead I shall enjoy my off day and continue to trade part-time. I think it's more enjoyable, hence it's more important for me to find a good job that I have a passion for and call it my career. Trading remains to be one of my additional income stream...

twcsg & Sembawang RC charity car wash on 31 May 09

Early in the morning of 31 May 09, I took a ride with Terence "eroken" to Republic Polytechnic's TRCC car park for the long awaited charity event jointly organised by twcsg and Sembawang RC. This time round we will be raising fund for Sembawang needy family taken care of by Sembawang CDWF through washing cars.

Once we reach the car park, we get the wash station and dry cleaning station all ready for the first customer by 9am. The first car arrived slightly before 9am and that kick start the entire charity car wash event.

After the first car, the traffic was slow and we had plenty of time to chat and have fun. We even have Red Bull babes to support us at the event, giving out Red Bull to members helping out as well as car owners who came to have their car washed. Time seemed to pass fast and without knowing, it was lunchtime! We had to rotate to have our lunch as cars were seen coming in slowly now, but there were still gap in between.

It was only after lunch that the number of cars start to increase with shorter interval in between each car wash.  Once the Rseries convoy came into the car, about 40 of them followed by convoy from Toyota Celica, the entire car park was full and we had to wash the cars under the hot sun non-stop.

After the long day, everyone were worn out but still carried that smile on their face for having put in the effort for charity.

At the end of the day, all the wishes line up and had a photoshoot to call it a day.
