What have been happening...

It's been a while since I blog about myself, only entries on my FOREX trading.  Reasons being I don't know how to or what to blog about as well as I still do not have the habit of taking pictures all the times. ;p  Anyway last week attended Paracounsellor Appreciation Dinner 2008 at SAFRA Mount Faber on Thursday 27 Nov 08. Nothing much about the dinner, just a simple meal to appreciate our time and the spirit of volunteerism.

I was a Paracounsellor since year 2000, did a few counseling sessions for some of the servicemen I had came across. And two years ago, I started to volunteer for NDP to support the medical teams.  We were required to provide counseling support to any casualty when they come to the medical post, eventually following them to the hospital if required.  This is to ensure that their parents would be rest assured and also to be able to find or contact them.

These days, seriously feeling "no life" because I had been playing Mahjong day in day out, almost every other days as long as my friends (different groups) asked me to play, I would be playing. Seriously need to find some life haha... Though not entirely walked out of my dark period yet, but I am recovering well, I guess.  Saw SC a few times at work, though never looked into each other eyes or spoke to one another, I could feel that the tension had definitely gone down abit. I do think about her at times still and still check out what's happening around her through my only channel. Nevertheless, I am coping well and moving on...

On sunday, met up with YC to have lunch.  Known her this year during one of the NDP rehearsal, rather chatty person and had much to gossip about her work and stuffs, haha... Went to Sushi Tei @ Raffles city for our lunch and spent hours in the restaurant talking. We left only when her friend arrived to meet her.  I went to Funan Centre to look around before going home.  And guess what?  Mahjong again in the evening, haha... told you I no life already...

Monday, went to work with SG as usual but it was earlier than usual as today is the first day of BL09 CDC (it's a conference). I was put in charge of all matters evolving outside the conference room, hence I had to make sure that tea breaks and lunch are set up and ready on time as well as many other admin issues.  Came back home and watch the last episode of the ten brothers, very touching for the way they disregards their own lives just to rescue their mother. Life Transformer by Christopher Lee and Quan Yifeng was even more touching. Helping the old man featured in this episode was really extreme challenging, all the volunteers state that it was the most difficult situation they had came across.  I would very much wanted to volunteer my time for such activities as well, very meaningful.

Presently, apart from getting myself busy with the conference, I am also trying to arrange for a date for an interview for my new job.  My application for early release had so call been approved and I will be a "Mister" come 1 Mar 09.  Seriously at this moment, I am eager to leave and start with my new career, but I wonder whether I will have this mixed feeling when the date get nearer. I shall dedicated a separate entry to talk about this soon...
