Singapore Marathon 2008

Woke up at around 3am and prepare to move out for Singapore Marathon 2008 at Padang. Left home and took a cab to Jalan Besar for my Mcdonald Breakfast, before walking over to the Baggage Deposit counter to drop my bag and proceed to the start point.  Very crowded indeed, was told that there was a 50,000 strong participants this year...

Standing behind the start point ready for the race... The race started at 530am sharp and we were on our way... challenging ourselves to the limit... 42.195km run. Took me about 1 hour 20 minutes to reach East Coast Park.

Met up with JS after taking this picture, but was separated shortly after the drink station.  This part of the run was really suffering and full of agony for me... Took me 4 hours to get out of ECP and on my way towards the end point (which was 12km away). It was this runspirator that help me moved on along the way with their music.

After coming out of ECP, the race just get harder and more difficult, physically and mentally. Have to keep motivating yourself and strive on... I DID IT! again... and with a better completion time of 6:20:45.8s.
