After the dinner decided to go for facial at the shop directly opposite the hotel. They provide foot reflexology and body massage as well, but I was there mainly for ear cleaning and facial.
After the facial treatment and ear cleaning I went back to the hotel and waited for KH, my understudy for this mission in KL. He had taken a later flight into KL due to his work commitment back in office. He came to my room at about 11pm, having returned from dinner with his cousin. I briefed him about the mission and what had to be done. We decided to go to the internet shop for past some time before retiring for the night.
The shop front look interesting isn't it?
Anyway after usage of about an hour (only RM3.00), we came out of the shop and realised that it was raining cats & dogs. Though it was only across the street, but the rain was too heavy for us to dash across. So we waited for the rain to get smaller before running back to our hotel.
After our mission on 15 Oct 08, we came back to the hotel and had our late lunch. Then we went our separate way, KH went to meet his friend who happened to be in KL for his work conference as well, while I went to the IT Mall to walk around before meeting MW.
After some sms exchanges, it was decided that our meeting place would be at KLCC. I took a cab there and walk around the shopping mall.
TISSOT was having watches roadshow there and the exhibit was taken by my handy iPhone camera. Finally, the watch click nearer to 730pm our meeting time, and I received a sms from MW that she was still in office and I would have to wait. Well, as usual, for the past numbers of time that I had came to KL and meet up with her, she was always late... Anyway she finally make her way to KLCC and we had arranged to have dinner at the Chilli's Bar and Restaurant. Yet to cultivate those blogger instincts and tigger happy fingers to snap pictures for every single moment, so no pictures of the restuarant and food were taken. Partly also because of the company. We were happily laughing and talking about how we were getting along and those "old times".
On a serious note, MW asked me whether I had gotten over her. I couldn't give a definitely answer, and my answer was most probably I had but once in a while I do still miss her and think about her. At least there's one thing I know and is definite about it was that till this very day, I know it's gone and will never ever be coming back again... She also shared with me the problem she had and was facing, and at the end of the day we had a good laugh about these problems we had. Times really flies, its been ten over years since we know each other, those separated by geographical location, we still have so much to talk about and shared. Glad to have you around as my friend, MW. It was already quite late when we left the restuarant, so I decided to make my way back to the hotel myself so that MW could get home earlier and prepare for her diving trip.
Second day of the mission was unlucky, it was a extremely long wait. I dun think anyone else experience such a long wait before. First it was delay due to defect, then it was due to VIP arrival and next they have change of aircraft, only having to cancel the mission due to bad weather at the end of the day. We wasted the entire day waiting and waiting and waiting.
Nevertheless, I reached back at the hotel at about 7pm and carried out my plans for my short getaway to Genting. Realised that the last bus to Genting had already left at 7pm, hence I only left with one mode of transport, that's taxi. It was an hour ride from KL to Genting, and had some breath taking scenery along the ride up the mountain, though it was getting dark. That explain why the weren't any pictures. We stop at the foot of the mountain for a short toilet break and I manage to take some pictures of the building.
These building was in fact the police officers resting quarters.
I reached Genting at about 830pm and took my time to walk around the area and enjoy the cool weather until such point I felt that it's freezing, haha... than I went into the casino to hide away from the cold. Started with playing jackpot before moving over to play at the table. Seriously I think gambling is simply not for me, ask me to play mahjong, I would enjoy the time spend but here in casino, its just kinda waste of time to me, does not have the thrill that people or gamblers talk about. So conclusion, I am not a gambler and I do not fancy casino gambling. I threw away RM1500 to the casino, amount spent to stay in the place for long hours... Took a cab back to KL the next morning as I was not able to find the bus transferring to KL, most of them was to Singapore.
Back in KL, I slept the entire morning until 5plus in the evening. Still feeling extreme drowsy and tired when I wake up. Decided to give the in-house spa a chance and hence I went down to the spa. Nice ambience they had, was greeted by the staff when I went in and they took their time to introduce to me the packages they had. I made my choice and waited for them to prepare the necessary. It's back to rest after the spa, the spa treatment was great but just that I did not sleep the previous time. Guess age is really catching up with me, no more over time for me... Wake up early in the morning and checked out of my room and proceed to KLIA. After checing in at the airport, had McDonald's breakfast...
After breakfast, it's boarding time and that ends my short getaway trip to KL and Genting.
