FOREX end-of-week update 24-28 Aug 09

Trading longer term definitely have it advantages, the charts that you analyse to look for opportunities to trade are filled with less noise that reduces the chance of you being fake out. Though you may not always be correct, at least the fake out are reduces significantly and success rate would be higher, which in term will result in profit on the long run. Having attended a few seminars and workshop, a few more to come, I understand my trading plan and method better and is able to make better decision and being selective about my trade. Attending seminar and workshop definitely helps, not forgetting researching and self-studying (reading) helps too. It's just about which way works better for you. ;p

FOREX end-of-week update 17-21 Aug 09

Made some positive result using the same method but using 1 hour and 4 hour timeframe, hence trading on a longer term. Read that beginner should always start with at least 1 hour timeframe so as to learn the price action of the market. Went to the invest fair on Saturday 22 Aug 09 at Suntec and attended a few seminars, as well as walk around the exhibit. Had a few interesting topic going on, one which really interest me was the Property Investment Program. Will attend the preview workshop, but unlikely I would be able to make it for the program itself, knda too expensive for me, at least for now. Nevertheless, I am having quite a few seminar and workshop coming up the next few days. Will be attending them and gain some insight to investment as well as FOREX trading. ;p

FOREX end-of-week Update (10-14 Aug 09)

Haven't been trading for the past few days, as I had been rather demoralised by the result and hence had been reading and trying to find out what went wrong before starting all over again.

Fireworks on National Day 2009

After work on National Day 2009, I sat at Wateredge and enjoyed my teh tarik while waiting for the rest to be ready. We are going on a cruise on Michael Chor's boat to view fireworks for NDP 2009. Once all of them had arrived, we walk over to the boat and get ready for the cruise.
The boat - Sparkling and...
The Master of the boat, Michael Chor

After leaving the Marina, we head towards the NDP 2009 at Marina Floating Platform. As we proceed the wind pick up and the sea became quite choppy... but we enjoyed it nevertheless.

Sunset
The National Flag flew pass while we enroute to our viewing area

When we arrived at the area, there were many other boats around, including those from our Club SAFYC. So we dropped the anchor and waited for the Fireworks to start. While waiting we had chicken wings, tibits, drinks and chat.
View of Singapore Sky Scrapers
Fireworks were partially blocked by the new building, a Hotel belonging to Sands @ Marina Bay.

After the fireworks, we headed back to SAFYC and had our dinner before retiring for the day and made our way home, that was already about 11pm... Happy Birthday Singapore! ;p

Supper on National Day Eve

8 Aug 09 - After work, I met up with Yingshun and Youxing family. The rest either did not reply my SMS or was busy and had other programs arranged. I was at Block 511 Bedok Market 1 hour ahead of the meeting time and read the newspaper. Some thoughts and memories also came back and lingers in my mind when I read about the Pledge of the Moment articles. Also the invitation by Michael Chor to criuse out to sea on National Day to watch the fireworks triggered the many thoughts and memories I had.

Come to think of it, I started this blog with fireworks, in fact earlier on before I posted this entry, I was reading my entries since last year. In a few weeks times, my blog would be 1 year old. Fireworks, I do like them as they are beautiful but short-lived, I still remembered, I took the trouble and squeezed through human traffic as well as traffic jam just to have them taken down in pictures. Posted them on my facebook and started blogging it, for that one person. This sure bring back memories. Sweet or bitter?

Well, I have definitely walked out of the dark days back then. Tommorrow criuse would be one of fun with new friends I had made during my tour in SAFYC. Also it will be a different experience and view point from the sea.

The two young families came and we had our dinner / supper and catch up. Looking at their child, also reflected to me how times had flied passed. Look at Mikaela, she is already walking on her own steadily and starting to learn how to run, and Petrina, their second daughter is coming into this world in a few weeks time.
Yvonne and Youxing, happily serving their princess, Raynie too. Yvonne still told me next time will be my turn. Like what I had mentioned in my previous post, Fate work in a Mystical Way, maybe it's really just not my time yet...

FOREX end-of-week update 3-7 Aug 09

I am still very much in search of my holy grail, presently I am kinda doing testing on LIVE account. Many will say I am mad to be doing so, but guess it hold some truth that trading on LIVE and DEMO is different. Even if you try to make yourself think and treat DEMO as LIVE. Still there will be a different feel... Real money is real money, virtual is virtual there is no way you can duplicate or fake it. ;p

Wan & Florence Wedding, 2 Aug 09

Took my day off today to attend my best buddy's wedding at Noble House in UIC Building along Shenton way. Arranged with PengJoo to hitch a ride from him to the restaurant. Woke up at 10am in the morning and took a MRT to Serangoon for the pickup. Then we proceed to the restaurant. When we arrived, the solemnisation ceremony had already started. After the ceremony, we went to the table for our lunch.

Wan Ching How and Florence Chua, the newly wed couple sat at the table located in the middle of the room. They enjoyed their food as much as the guests had, not very similar to the usual wedding that you goes to. Haha... It was like a small gathering for the close relatives and friends to celebrate their marriage. Interesting indeed...

I still remembered years ago, when we were out at sea for an exercise, we (me and Wan) chatted on this topic about getting married and starting a family and stuff. At that time, Wan was still single while I had just ended a relationship. His concept / mindset was that he was such a man that he dun believe that there would be any gals that can tolerate him. He also said that unlike me, he dun intend to get married even if he has a galfriend. I told him not to think that way as fate work in a mystical way.

Years later, when sending him home from work, we touched on this topic again and I told him, "See I told you, while you said that no gals can tolerate you. Now you have Florence!" In the conversation that followed, Wan stood by this concept / mindset that he will not get married and start a family. And again I told him not to speak too soon... As time goes by, my theory seem to come true again, haha... While Florence had been hinting him and he had been avoiding, he soon realised that he can't hide forever. Shortly after we left the service, we met and had lunch and he shared with me that he was kinda cornered for the fateful day....

"He was working on his computer and Florence had pass him a piece of paper and asked him to choose. In the midst of what he was doing, he gave the date without much thought. After his work, he asked her what it was about only to realise that it was the various date for their ROM. So he looked through the dates again and chose the furthest date he can have. Well, Florence sure knows him so well that she knows when to get Wan's commitment...."

Again I told him, "See! I told you so!" Wan was quick to defend himself and went on to say that he could get a house earlier this way, but he also stood firm on his ground that though married, there will not be any kids... Well well, I agree with him on his principle and reasons for that, however, I would like to say again that Fate works in a mystical way and so dun speak too soon. Be it by accident or not, haha....

In any case, I do hereby wish this couple a blissful marriage and smooth sea and following winds to your new chapter of life which knowing my buddy, I know they will.
For those still searching... remember "Fate work in a mystical ways".

IT'S JUST NOT TIME YET!

FOREX end-of-week Summary (27-31 Jul 09)

Accustoming myself to the 5 min TF Chart. More reliable then the 1 min TF Chart, also reduce action hence reduce risk. I am going to turn the gradient of the graph you see above from next week onward. It may be slow but it will be going UP! ;p
