Sentosa 30 Jan 09

Had breakfast with Ruilong at the coffeeshop near my place while waiting for Uncle Philip to come and pick us up.  After that we went to fetch his two Taiwanese friends before proceeding to Sentosa.  We parked our car at the Beach car park, which was located at the Beach Station then we took a beach trams round siloso beach.  Sentosa had indeed changed alot, no more monorail to go round the island.  Alighted the tram and walked over to the Sentosa Luge & Skyride station.

After reaching the top, we went to the ticketing counter to purchase the Sentosa choice packages, where you get to choose 3 attractions and 1 adventure ride.  We chose the Images of Singapore, Sentosa 4D Magix, Tiger Sky Tower and The Merlion. These would take up the entire day we have in Sentosa.  After purchasing the tickets, we went up the tower to have a good nice view of Sentosa.

After the bird eye view of Sentosa, it's time for lunch. Everyone had light lunch only and proceeded to our next destination.

After the 15 mintutes show, we left the lagoon and took another bus ride to Underwater World.

Next destination, lets learn more about Singapore history, off we go to Images of Singapore.

We took some pictures outside the museum while finishing our Hokkaido ice cream.

Started the tour of the museum with a short video clip introducing the Four Winds Trading Company.

This man is good in introducing the history of Singapore, get him when you have visitors to Singapore next time... ;p

After the tour in the museum, we were tired already and we still have Sentosa 4D Magix and The Merlion to go.  It was raining too and we took a break at the cafe outside the Imgaes of Singapore museum, had some drinks and rested while waiting for the rain to stop. Time for the 4 dimension movie, we reached the 4D Magix and queued for the next show.  Our adventure with the Pirates was about to start.  Took our seats and put on our 4D glasses and waited for the show to start.  With the glasses on, some of the items in the movie seemed so close to you and it's like you could reached out your hand and hold them.  Nice experience indeed.

After the movie at 4D Magix, the rain stopped and we proceed up The Merlion.  Seriously, there's nothing up the Merlion. only scenery view of Singapore again...

With the Merlion, we ended our tour in Sentosa.  We walked back to the beach station and left Sentosa for our next destination, Toa Payoh for our dinner. Met up with Ronghui there and had our crab bee hoon (soup and dry) dinner.  The food were indeed great but I think the customers service and attitude weren't right, so I will not be recommending the restaurant to others. After dinner, we send our 2 guests home and proceed home ourselves... ;p
