Singapore Fireworks Celebration 2008

At last, a blog, a space on the internet highway, I called my own! It's been for awhile since I contemplate about starting one. Really, I'm not a good writer or blog, definitely not one who is good with words. Hence, I request all who come across to pardon me. I'm sure it will get better as time pass. It have to be right?

In conjuction with celebration for me on starting my blog, here's some pictures and video taken during the Singapore Fireworks Celebration held on 22 and 23 Aug 08 at Marina Floating Platform. Enjoy...

This video was taken on 23 Aug 08, it was near the end of the celebration, so I called it finale. If you had noticed, yes! I was there on both day. On the first day (22 Aug 08), I manage to squeeze myself at a nice open spot near the floating platform itself. On the second day (23 Aug 08), I was late due to the jam at causeway, went JB with my buddies. As I was on my way to Marina, the fireworks started and I decided to detour to clifford pier to stay away from the expected jam around marina square. When I reached, it was already near the end, so I stood in the rain (luckily only drizzling) and took down the last part of the display. However, the video is too big to be posted here, more than 100mb, so this is the smaller one. Until I learn how to edit the video and have a smaller size then I can upload it here. Anyone can offer to teach me? ;p

Some of you may ask, why I was so free to be there on both days? Do I really love fireworks so much? Well, I was there for only one reason, I wanted to capture this beautiful moment so that I can send them to someone who was not able to make it for the displays. One day, I hope I am able to pay for my very own fireworks display for that one person in my life and enjoy that moment together. So those who happen to know how and where I can get the approval and also the company that does this, do keep me informed. That's it for now... more entries coming up soon... ;p
